Areas of Practice

Medicaid Planning

Not sure whether you or your loved one will qualify for Medicaid?  Schedule a Medicaid Assessment with us to obtain the answers to what can be done to protect your assets and minimize the costs of long-term care.  We can assist you with asset protection planning, including protection for the spouse at home, Medicaid eligibility and an application for Medicaid benefits.

Estate and Trust administration

The death of a loved one is a stressful time, let us help you administer the Will or Trust properly.  We assist Personal Representatives, Executors and Trustees in administering the Estate and distributing the assets.

Our asssitance during this difficult time will help you transfer your loved one's property in a timely and cost effective manner.

Wills & Trusts

Completing your Will or Trust gives many people peace of mind about how their assets will be distributed, who will be Guardian of their minor children and who they want to handle their estate.  Whether your goal is to avoid probate court or execute a simple will, let us take the worry off your plate and get everything in place for you.  We offer a free Welcome Meeting to discuss your estate plan.

POWER OF ATTORNEY

A Financial Power of Attorney allows a trusted person you choose the authority to make financial decisions, such as signing checks to pay bills, handling tax returns, and selling a home.

A Healthcare Power of Attorney authorizes a person to make health care decisions in the event you are unable to make them.

NUrsing HOMe Planning

One of the best things we can do is calm clients’ fears about the financial aspects of nursing homes and long term care. Whether you are met with an immediate need for nursing home care or you want answers “just in case” we can provide up to date information on what’s in store. This is a complicated area of law and is very dependent on each family’s circumstances.  Contact us to schedule your free Welcome Meeting.

GUARDIANSHIP

We will assist you in obtaining a Guardianship for your loved one. A Guardianship gives one person (the guardian) the power to make personal and financial decisions for another (the protected person). A guardian may be appointed when a Court determines that an individual is an incapacitated person or a minor.
